Polish, Schmolish

After a busy weekend, I’m just over half-way through my final polish of the manuscript before sending it back to my editor and publisher.  Things have been going smoothly enough, but occasionally I get a page like this one: That’s not a polish, that’s industrial cleaning.

Full Steam Ahead

I’m back in the saddle again. Final, tiny polish before submission tomorrow: exorcising last remaining anglicisms.  I found one “pavement” and seven “autumns”.  Damn.  Thank God for search and replace.  Scratching my head trying to think of other tell-tale signs…

Much frenetic emailing between yours truly and Bruce the Agent. BtA had a couple of technical issues he wanted to see addressed.
